World Book school edition

Since I teach preschoolers, I found that World Book Kids was very easy to navigate and not too overwhelming for my students to view on the Smart Board. The World Book Student would be very informational and useful for research and presentations for older students. It had a different format, but still very easy to navigate. I prefer the Kids navigational format better, but that's my preference.

One benefit that I really enjoyed was the Save to My Research option on the right hand side of each article or video. That is very useful for those that have limited time and can save articles to read later. It would also aid in documenting resources when concluding a project.

The read aloud toolbar in World book Discover is awesome! I had to go back and check the other World Books for their read aloud option.  I was disappointed it wouldn't work on the iPad. With technology being so portable, it would be a nice addition to add portable devices. Maybe someone else can get it to work and I'm missing something.....

  1. Great discoveries in World Book! What a great idea to use with your preschoolers on the smart board! Fun!
The Read Aloud option is available on all the World Books on a regular computer--unfortunately, the article read aloud is only an option in World Book Discover on the ipad. World Book is constantly adding and updating features so keep checking!
