Worldcat and more....

Worldcat

1. I really like the fact that you had many choices to search other than keyword. This will eliminate irrelevant results when searching for info.

2. I chose the book Wild as I'm currently reading it. 515 results were found. 2505 libraries have this book. Alexander Mitchell Library was the first one listed to have it. Location in library: Adult Nonfiction 813.6 STRAYED. No other information was listed when I delved deeper into it. Maybe I didn't look in the right area. I'm not quite sure.

OAIster.

1. I really liked that you could see the pages on the right hand side for the article. This helps skip thru the pages that you may not need to utilize.

Cameo

1. What a cool site! I loved the face that when you clicked on an artifact, everything came with the picture. Ie. facts and explanation. This would make a presentation very easy to edit in a very quick amount of time.

EBooks on Ebscohost

1.  I searched for Titanic survivors as my husband is intrigued by anything Titanic. I found it rather funny that 1 result was "How Social Security Picks Your Pocket".  I did like the Most Relevant Sections from this eBook.  The Complete Idiots Guide piqued my interest as they are always good books to look through, I feel. The section that I really liked was on the right hand side of each article...if you clicked on Cite, it pulled up the exact way to site the eBook in 3 different formats: ABNT, AMA, APA. very useful for those like me who haven't needed to cite a source correctly since doing research papers in college.

2.  Constitution Day articles: AP US History, Colonies and Revolution. These two I found more useful content than the others listed. Some listed were not even close to the search term.

3.  By selecting PB Publisher, I received a listing of publishers with Oklahoma in their name. ie. University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, and University of Oklahoma Press. An interesting way to search for published articles of work.

Gale Virtual Library

1. I chose boxing for my title. I learned how to kickbox a few years ago and LOVED it! It was cool that it pulled up warm ups of pro boxers, Ali, risks, and benefits. It also had key terminology that would be useful for someone researching for a paper quickly.

2.  I searched gluten free as I have students who are gluten free and family members as well. The listen feature would be useful if you were needing to get other tasks done and wanted to search for information. I'm a multi-tasker so I found it very neat that the entire article could be read aloud to me. I also liked the fact that you could speed up/slow down the reading speed, have the article automatically scroll for you, and change the highlight colors. The color changing is great for those with visual difficulties like Irlens Syndrome where people need t see text Ina. Certain color to read effectively.
